MathWorlds allows you to make or adjust mathematical functions that control two kinds of motions—vertical ("elevators"), or horizontal ("cars"). In the sample activities, you work with Position functions—which describe motions—either graphically, by manipulating segments using HotSpots, or textually or by entering an Algebraic formula of the type y=mx+b. Various tools will help you study the functions and their motions in more detail, such as dropping Marks, stepping through the motions, re scaling or scrolling the views of the graphs and motions.
