Each year, the Kaput Center invites important figures in mathematics education (or who are in education but focus primarily on mathematics) to discuss critical issues regarding the teaching and learning of mathematics, as well as conducting research in these areas. It is a unique opportunity for both faculty and students at UMass Dartmouth and the Kaput Center to participate in academic discussions with leading members of the field and to grapple with relevant issues of the time. More detailed information regarding the various symposia hosted by the Center can be found in the menu to the right, which is divided into academic years, with the symposia listed under the respective year in which they were held.
